In FX’s new series TYRANT, premiering Tuesday, June 24 at 10 PM, Bassam “Barry” Al-Fayeed (Adam Rayner), a Pasadena doctor, married with children, takes his family for what is supposed to be a short trip to the Middle Eastern country where he was born. However, Barry’s father is now in charge in the nation of Baladi and wants his son to remain there. TYRANT was created by Gideon Raff, who also created HATUFIM, the Israeli series that inspired HOMELAND. Raff, HOMELAND co-creator Howard Gordon and Craig Wright serve as TYRANT’s executive producers. The Paley Center for Media this month held the PALEYFEST: FALL TV PREVIEW PARTIES featuring Network shows from NBC, CBS, WB, FOX and ABC. These festivals give the fans a chance to see the shows before they are on the air, and each night they were treated to a Q&A session with the Stars and Creative Team of the show featured. And ASSIGNMENT X was there for a few of the Networks.
