With four hit series on CBS, all of which have won Emmys, Chuck Lorre is the indisputable king of comedy at the network. Yes, TWO AND A HALF MEN, which Lorre executive-produces and created with Lee Aronsohn, is finishing its twelve-year run with a one-hour special on Thursday, February 19. This still leaves the other shows Lorre executive-produces: THE BIG BANG THEORY, created by Lorre and Bill Prady, now in its eighth season, MIKE & MOLLY, now in its fifth season, and MOM, created by Lorre, now in its second season. When Lorre is at a party thrown by CBS […]Read On »

At today’s CBS Winter 2013 press tour, CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler spoke about the recent rant by TWO AND A HALF MEN star Angus T. Jones and how they would like him back on the show for an eleventh season if it’s renewed. “We would like him to be part of that,” says Tassler. “We’d like him to be part of it next year. I think he would like to come back too.  We would like him to. [Executive Producer] Chuck [Lorre] would like him to.  Warner Bros. would.  He made his public apology, and we’ve moved on.  He’s […]Read On »

Stars: Jon Cryer, Ashton Kutcher, Angus T. Jones, Conchatta Ferrell, Holland Tayler Writers: Don Reo & Jim Patterson, story by Chuck Lorre & Eddie Gorodetsky Director: James Widdoes Network: CBS Original Telecast: Sept. 27th, 2012 Now I can honestly say that I have given Ashton Kutcher more than a fair shot at salvaging TWO AND A HALF MEN. However, as his second season with the show begins (and the tenth overall), there is still a noticeable void in the show that can never be replaced by any actor. As one of the few who didn’t quite understand how Charlie Sheen […]Read On »

Jones, Conchata Ferrell, Holland Taylor Writers: Chuck Lorre, Lee Aronsohn, Eddie Gorodetsky, Jim Patterson Director: James Widdoes Network: CBS, airs Monday nights Original Telecast: September 26, 2011 While last week’s Season 9 premiere of TWO AND A HALF MEN was all about shedding the ghost of Charlie Harper (aka Charlie Sheen) from the series, while the second episode, “People Who Love Peepholes”, essentially serves as the official “pilot” episode for the show’s reboot. It’s a brand new show, with actors getting accustomed to either their new characters or their new roles within the […]Read On »

Stars: Ashton Kutcher, Jon Cryer, Angus T. Jones, Conchata Ferrell, Holland Taylor Writers: Chuck Lorre, Lee Aronsohn, Eddie Gorodetsky, Jim Patterson Director: James Widdoes Network: CBS, airs Monday nights Original Telecast: September 19, 2011 One of the most dysfunctional firings in the history of television involved TWO AND A HALF MEN and Charlie Sheen – a fall-out last year that paved the way for a Sheen-less Season 9. What could have been an absolute disaster has been handled rather wisely by CBS, creating a buzz with the addition of Ashton Kutcher to the show, and surprisingly, finding a way to […]Read On »
