Recently Summit Entertainment held the Los Angeles Premiere of STEP UP REVOLUTION at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. Fans and press were treated before the premiere started to a dance crew dancing on the red carpet doing all the new hip-hop moves. Breaking News: BBC America remakes THE MUSKETEERS as a 10-episode series to air in 2014 – TCA 2012

At today’s TCA Cable Press Tour, BBC America announced they will be embarking on a co-production with BBC One of MUSKETEERS – a new series written by Adrian Hodges (PRIMEVAL, SURVIVORS). The series will debut in 2014 and is inspired by the classic Alexandre Dumas novel THE THREE MUSKETEERS. Although set in the 17th Century, the series will bring a more contemporary and realistic take on the story of a “trained band of brothers who are assigned to protect King and country” as the press release says. While director Ron Howard has been interested in television for awhile (his shelved adaptation of Stephen King’s THE DARK TOWER was to span both movies and a TV series), he’s now moving his attention to helm a new Showtime series called CONQUEST. To be written by Jose Rivera the series will focus on Spanish Conquistador Hernan Cortes and his battles with Aztec empire ruler Moctezuma II.
