Recently for the celebration of the historic 500th episode of THE SIMPSONS, FOX invited fans to participate in THE SIMPSONS Ultimate Fan Marathon Challenge at the Hollywood & Highland Complex in Hollywood. Fans came together to watch 500 continuous episodes of THE SIMPSONS in a building put together in the middle of the courtyard with oversized couches and a huge television. The contest winner that broke the current Guinness World Record of 86 hours, 6 minutes and 41 seconds would win a prize worth $10,500 and an array of THE SIMPSONS merchandise. On January 26th, THE ESTATE OF MICHAEL JACKSON held a special HAND & FOOTPRINT CEREMONY for THE KING OF POP at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.  Hollywood Boulevard was shut down to accommodate the thousands of fans who came to be a part of this special event. Michael Jackson’s three children, Prince, Paris and Blanket used their father’s sequined glove and shoes to make impressions in the cement, and Paris signed Michael’s name, with a heart in the cement, and then adding their own handprints by the shoe imprint. Recently Paramount Home Entertainment held a celebration for the SUPER 8 release on Blu-ray and DVD debut at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in Beverly Hills. In 1984 Donald Duck was honored in an official Handprint and Footprint Ceremony at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. Alvin, Simon and Theodore of ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS fame, the World Famous Chipmunks now join Donald. It was such a fun day! Alvin, Simon and Theodore walked out from the theatre to be greeted by 300 children from the Hollenbeck Middle School all dressed in Alvin t-shirts, plus fans and all the press. November 3rd was a very crowded day on Hollywood Blvd. as Twilight fans took over the street to be at THE TWILIGHT SAGA HANDPRINT AND FOOTPRINT CEREMONY at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre.
