Breaking News: SHARKNADO gets Midnight theatrical run on August 2

A one-night only Midnight screening SHARKNADO theatrical event is coming on August 2 to select Regal Cinemas, Edwards and UA Theaters. Tickets are $12.50 and the screening will feature the film as well as additional added content previously not seen. Breaking News: Syfy officially announces SHARKNADO 2 and it bites the Big Apple

Yes, it’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s SHARKNADO 2 and it’s coming to New York to take a bite out of the Big Apple. Last night, Syfy announced via LATE NIGHT WITH JIMMY FALLON  that a sequel has been greenlit and it will take place in New York this time. The Asylum will be producing the film again and it’s set to air in 2014. Syfy also announced that it is asking the fans to come up with the sequel subtitle via Twitter. The 2000 Japanese movie BATTLE ROYALE has been discussed as a possible series to be developed for the CW, but at today’s 2012 TCA The CW Press Tour, The CW President Mark Pedowitz says they’re only in the discussion stages right now. “It’s amazing what happens when you just have a phone call and a discussion,” says Pedowitz. “We’d love to do it. One of the big news items to come out of Comic-Con 2012, is the BBC and Syfy series MERLIN is getting ready to develop a trilogy of theatrical films based on the TV series which is heading into its fifth season. While speaking at Comic-Con 2012, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige spoke about Marvel’s very busy movie slate.
