Breaking News: The CW talks about the status of BATTLE ROYALE as a TV series and THE SELECTION – TCA 2012

The 2000 Japanese movie BATTLE ROYALE has been discussed as a possible series to be developed for the CW, but at today’s 2012 TCA The CW Press Tour, The CW President Mark Pedowitz says they’re only in the discussion stages right now. “It’s amazing what happens when you just have a phone call and a discussion,” says Pedowitz. “We’d love to do it. Hopefully we’ll be able to make a deal with the producers, and we’ll see where it goes. Breaking News: Three MERLIN movies in development and Season 6 possibilities for BBC TV series – Comic-Con 2012

One of the big news items to come out of Comic-Con 2012, is the BBC and Syfy series MERLIN is getting ready to develop a trilogy of theatrical films based on the TV series which is heading into its fifth season. Though co-creator and executive producer Johnny Capps isn’t sure which form they will take, he talk a little bit about the plan. “We’re in discussions with BBC about Season 6, but we’re talking about the movies,” says Capps. “We’re hopefully going to do a trilogy – three movies. Breaking News: Marvel Studios President says he’s not worried about too many Marvel movies

While speaking at Comic-Con 2012, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige spoke about Marvel’s very busy movie slate. While there is a worry of overkill and over-saturating the market with too many Marvel movies , Feige says he doesn’t feel like that tipping point has happened yet and as long as they continue making great movies, they’ll be fine. “I have been at Marvel for 12 years and we had that concern going when X-MEN came out and SPIDER-MAN came out in one year,” says Feige. “The trick and formula is to try and make different movies and make them great. …Read On »

Comic-Con News: WRECK-IT RALPH star John C. Reilly talks about his new animated film and his favorite arcade game

The new animated Disney film WRECK-IT RALPH focuses on an 8-bit character named Wreck-It Ralph from a fictitious 1980s arcade game who decides he’s tired of being a bad guy and starts to game hop into other worlds. Voicing Ralph is John C.
