ABC Entertainment Group president Paul Lee makes himself available at a party thrown by the network at the Pasadena Langham Hotel for talent and the Television Critics Association.

Lee answers a few questions about several ABC series. ONCE UPON A TIME, currently in its fourth season Sundays at 8 PM, but taking a midseason hiatus to make room for four weeks/eight episodes of the musical comedy/fantasy GALAVANT, and CASTLE, now in its seventh season Mondays at 10 PM.

ASSIGNMENT X: Do you have any idea whether CASTLE and ONCE UPON A TIME will continue past this season?

PAUL LEE: We adore both shows. They’re critical to ABC’s brand and we’d like to see them both on the network for many years to come. I haven’t made any pickup announcements or even decisions, but be assured, ONCE UPON A TIME and CASTLE are beloved shows – not just by our audience, but by us. By me. I love them.

AX: And given their proximity and the fact that they go back and forth between various lands, can you see a ONCE UPON A TIME/GALAVANT crossover?

LEE: In a real way, they cross over in space and time, because GALAVANT is in that [ONCE UPON A TIME] slot, and actually, it’s keeping it very nice and warm for them. And by the way, it makes sense, because families like to watch both shows, and they like to watch as families, who we have in droves. Whether we do a crossover, that’s early days.
