It was once again time to lose another contestant on the world’s greatest karaoke competition, AMERICAN IDOL, leaving just the Top 5.
By now, you know that Elise Testone was eliminated from the show. Hollie Cavanaugh and Skylar Laine were also in the bottom three this week.
Once again, Jimmy Iovine’s comments continue to be the best freaking part of IDOL and probably the most honest that anyone is on the show since Simon Cowell left. They really need to do something more with him in the future. I know he’s not as famous as Steven Tyler but he would be great as a judge because Steven just doesn’t cut it in my opinion.
I will get along to how the results went down and lucky for you, as usual I will bypass all the filler including a decent Queen tribute band (beats the hell out of a bad group performance), another terrible Ford commercial, an interesting performance from Katy Perry, a trying-to-hard TMZ feature, some helpful thoughts from Casey Abrams and his beard and a freaking horrible performance from former IDOL contestant Stefano.
Jessica Sanchez and Elise Testone were first called to the stage. Jessica is safe. Elise is in the bottom once again.
Next up was Joshua Ledet and Hollie Cavanaugh. Hollie is in the bottom yet again. Joshua is safe.
Finally, Phillip Phillips and Skylar “Hillbilly Hoedown” Laine were called to the stage. Phillip is safe, Skylar is in the bottom but is immediately told she is safe.
So one of the two that have been in the bottom for what seems the entire season will be going home. And Elise is sent home, Hollie is safe (at least for one more week).
